 
Welcome to Hunkerdown Lodge and Guide Service. We are a small family run operation. We offer all the excitement of hunting coupled with the beauty of the "Moosehead Lake" region of Maine. We cannot guarantee you a kill, but we do promise you that we will do our very best to help you achieve your trophy of a lifetime. We will give our every effort to provide you with the most enjoyable stay possible. We hope your first stay with us will be memorable, and be one of many more stays to come.
Our camp sits on 22 wooded acres over looking Towne Pond, Buck Hill, and the Doughty Mountains, on a private dirt road just minutes from town. (Maps 30 & 31 in the Delorme Maine Map & Gazetteer) The lodge was built in 1996 and can sleep up to 8 people comfortably in the loft. Knotty pine interior, and cathedral ceilings through out the camp provide an open, rustic ambience. You will be fed better at our camp than at home. We realize that is a big claim to make, but we have heard it from so many of our guests that we firmly believe it. We are very proud of our meals at hunkerdown.
